Day 12, briefing

Good morning!

Day 12! We are in a high pressure area and the weather is just fine. According to the sounding the cloud base at first has to be around 1500 m and later it should climb a bit higher – up to 1700 m, thermals strong, 3-4 oktas of CBs. We’ll see. Pilots got long speed tasks, most of the routes located to the west, south-west, just couples will have to fly around Kaunas CTR. Clubs and standards will fly to Poland. So, the tasks:

World class – polygon with 3 points of 336,6 km;
Club class – polygon with 3 points of 441,0 km;
Standard class – polygon with 4 points of 503,6 km;
20 m class – polygon with 5 points of 520,9 km.

The first launch is expected at 11:30.

Because tracking system doesn’t work in Poland, today again double-seaters will get it.

And the winners of yesterday…

World class – Denis Guerin from France;
Club class – Sergey Klyuev from Russian Federation;
Standard class – Mario Kiessling from Germany;
20 m class – Gintautas Butnoris and Vytautas Rasimvaičius from Lithuania!

Congratulations! It’s getting more interesting what some pilots are eating in the morning that they win each day :).

Tomorrow we’ll have a farewell party at 20:00. So, the tickets are available at the office.
